CES 2024 Travel Log

We’re getting close to a deal with a Las Vegas-based company, so we thought, “Why not visit with them coinciding with CES?” So, that’s what we did.

More about the former another time. This post collects a few thoughts about our own CES experience. Which includes a delicious s/o to Able Baker Brewing Company! A perfect start to the week, and we recommend anyone get off The Strip to check out the Art District of Las Vegas.

The few impressions of the show:

1)  CES felt vibrant (maybe because we were shivering). I’d last visited 5 years earlier, which Google reminded me about. Comparatively, post-pandemic and prevailing geo-politics didn’t dampen the mood. Perhaps, rather, enhanced the spirit.

2)  The biz dev conversations were highly engaged, whether a big enterprise booth, a couple guys in the Euro Pavilion, a someone in line getting coffee at Dunkin’®, even on the elevator. Happily, lots of follow ups.

3)  De rigueur observations:

     a.  Hyperloop was great fun and visually ready to take the jump into hyperspace

     b.  Transparent TVs, oh yes, can totally see that! Stunning.

     c.  Bigger electronics companies seemed compelled to give lip service to sustainability, which, given we were at a trade show in Las Vegas, an ethically conflicted position to present.

     d.  New EV-related brands popped up around every corner.

     e.  Of course, there were robotics and AI, but we didn’t seek it out. It was all around.

And one more food-related s/o that filled our stomachs and helped close the week, Siegel's Baglemania was 100% worth the wait.

TRIDENTX and Shabodi Cross-Promotional Collaboration

January 3, 2024, BELLEVUE, WA and MISSISSAUGA, ON

TRIDENTX, a boutique connectivity consultancy, and Shabodi, the network-aware application enabler, have teamed up to jointly cross-promote their complementary solutions.

TRIDENTX’s network operations service, called NOCX, assures the uptime and resilience of network connectivity, edge devices, and applications. Further, its machine learning AnalytX solution sits alongside NOCX, building diagnostic intelligence for prescriptive performance optimization.

Shabodi’s advanced network Application Enablement Platform (AEP) for network awareness dynamically modifies Quality of Service (QoS) in real-time, ensuring reliable and high-speed critical communication, hallmarks of 5G networks that remain elusive without network-aware applications.

Combined, the NOCX and the AEP create a smarter, more robust managed network service offering to meet any scale of connected solution, simple or complex.

This synergistic match was made thanks to an introduction from the 5G Open Innovation Lab (5GOIL), where, in 2022, Shabodi participated in 5GOIL’s program to accelerate the development and deployment of 5G solutions. Today, both TRIDENTX and Shabodi are active in 5GOIL’s ecosystem.
